1. Scope & Controller

This Privacy Policy applies to websites, games, online multiplayer features, studio communications, newsletters, support channels, and other digital services that Bashabeth Games operates and that link to this Policy (collectively, the “Services”). Bashabeth Games is the controller or business responsible for personal information that it determines how and why to process.

Some Services may be distributed, hosted, embedded, sold, or accessed through third-party platforms. Those companies may separately collect and use information under their own privacy policies, and Bashabeth Games does not control their independent processing.

Important: This Policy describes the categories of data our Services may process across different games and features. A particular game may use only a subset of these categories.

We may also create aggregated or de-identified information that cannot reasonably be linked to you. Where required by law, we maintain such information in de-identified form and do not attempt to re-identify it.

3. How We Use Information

We may use personal information to:

  • provide, operate, authenticate, maintain, and improve the Services;
  • save progress, maintain player profiles, rankings, matchmaking, multiplayer sessions, inventories, rewards, and other game features;
  • process purchases, validate receipts, provide entitlements, prevent duplicate or fraudulent transactions, and maintain financial records;
  • provide support, respond to inquiries, investigate bugs, and communicate service-related notices;
  • protect players, enforce rules, detect cheating, fraud, abuse, attacks, account compromise, and other security threats;
  • analyze performance, reliability, feature usage, and game balance, including through aggregated statistics;
  • send newsletters or promotional communications where permitted by law and according to your choices;
  • comply with legal obligations, lawful requests, tax/accounting requirements, and enforce our agreements; and
  • establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.

4. Legal Bases for Processing

Where the GDPR, UK GDPR, or similar laws require a legal basis, we rely on one or more of the following depending on the activity:

  • Contract: processing necessary to provide a game, account, purchase, multiplayer service, or feature you request.
  • Legitimate interests: operating and improving the Services, securing our systems, preventing fraud and abuse, understanding performance, and protecting our business and users, where those interests are not overridden by your rights.
  • Consent: where we ask for permission, such as certain marketing, cookies, or processing for which consent is legally required. You may withdraw consent at any time without affecting earlier lawful processing.
  • Legal obligation: processing required to comply with applicable law, lawful requests, accounting, tax, safety, or regulatory obligations.

5. How We Disclose Information

We may disclose personal information to the following categories of recipients when reasonably necessary:

  • Service providers and processors that provide hosting, cloud infrastructure, content delivery, databases, authentication, email delivery, customer support, analytics, security, crash reporting, or similar services under appropriate contractual or legal obligations.
  • Payment processors and storefronts such as Stripe and game distribution platforms to process transactions, confirm entitlements, address refunds or disputes, and prevent fraud.
  • Game and platform partners when a feature depends on a third-party platform, multiplayer infrastructure, invite system, or account connection.
  • Professional advisers such as lawyers, accountants, insurers, or auditors where necessary.
  • Authorities or other parties for legal and safety reasons when required by law or when reasonably necessary to protect rights, safety, security, users, or the Services.
  • Business transaction recipients in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, sale of assets, or similar transaction, subject to applicable law.

We do not sell personal information for money. We do not knowingly share personal information collected through Services we operate directly for cross-context behavioral advertising as that term is defined by the California Consumer Privacy Act. If our practices materially change, we will update this Policy and provide any opt-out method required by law.

6. Payments & Third-Party Platforms

Payments may be handled by third-party payment processors or storefronts, including Stripe or the platform through which you obtained a game. Those parties may collect payment-card, billing, fraud-prevention, device, and transaction information directly from you. Their handling of that information is governed by their own terms and privacy notices.

Bashabeth Games may receive limited transaction data such as a transaction identifier, payment status, amount, currency, product, refund status, and information needed to provide the purchased content or service. We generally do not receive or store your complete payment-card number.

7. Cookies & Similar Technologies

Our websites and web-based games may use cookies, local storage, pixels, SDKs, or similar technologies for essential functions, preferences, security, authentication, fraud prevention, performance, and—where enabled—analytics.

Where required by law, non-essential cookies or similar technologies will be used only with any consent or choice required in your location. You can also use browser or device controls to manage cookies and local storage, although disabling essential storage may prevent parts of the Services from working.

Where legally required and technically applicable to our processing, we honor recognized universal opt-out preference signals, such as Global Privacy Control, for opt-out rights covered by applicable U.S. state privacy law.

8. Data Retention

We keep personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, including providing the Services, maintaining account or game records, resolving disputes, enforcing agreements, preventing fraud and abuse, meeting legal obligations, and maintaining appropriate business records.

Retention periods vary by data type and context. For example, active account and game-state data may be retained while an account or service remains active; support and security logs may be retained for a reasonable period after an issue is resolved; and transaction or tax records may be retained for the period required by applicable law. When information is no longer needed, we delete, anonymize, or securely isolate it as appropriate.

9. Security

We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure. No online service, network, or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure, so we cannot promise absolute security.

You are responsible for protecting credentials associated with accounts you use to access the Services and for notifying us or the relevant platform if you suspect unauthorized access.

10. International Data Transfers

Bashabeth Games and its service providers may process information in the United States and other countries that may have data-protection laws different from those where you live. Where required for transfers from the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, Switzerland, or other jurisdictions with transfer restrictions, we use legally recognized safeguards or rely on another lawful transfer mechanism.

11. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live and subject to legal exceptions, you may have rights to:

  • know or confirm whether we process your personal information and obtain access to it;
  • request correction of inaccurate information;
  • request deletion of personal information;
  • receive a portable copy of certain information;
  • restrict or object to certain processing;
  • withdraw consent where processing is based on consent;
  • opt out of targeted advertising, sale, or certain profiling where applicable;
  • appeal a decision on a privacy request where applicable law provides an appeal right; and
  • lodge a complaint with a competent privacy or data-protection authority.

To exercise a privacy right, email bashabethgames@gmail.com with the subject line “Privacy Request” and describe your request and the Service involved. We may need to verify your identity before completing certain requests. Authorized agents may submit requests where permitted by law, subject to appropriate verification.

We will not unlawfully discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right. Some information may be exempt from a request where we are permitted or required to retain or process it.

12. U.S. State Privacy Disclosures

Residents of California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Iowa, Maryland, Minnesota, Montana, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Oregon, Texas, Utah, Virginia, and other states with applicable comprehensive privacy laws may have additional rights, subject to the scope, thresholds, definitions, and exceptions of each law.

California

For California residents, the categories listed in Section 2 describe the types of personal information we may have collected during the preceding 12 months. We collect those categories for the business and commercial purposes described in Section 3 and disclose them to the categories of recipients described in Section 5.

We do not sell personal information for monetary consideration. We do not knowingly sell or share personal information of consumers under 16. We do not use or disclose sensitive personal information for purposes that require a “Limit the Use of My Sensitive Personal Information” link under the CCPA, unless we provide the legally required notice and choice.

California residents may have rights to know/access, delete, correct, receive information about collection and disclosure, opt out of sale or sharing, limit certain uses of sensitive personal information, and receive equal service and pricing when exercising privacy rights, subject to legal exceptions.

Other U.S. states

Where applicable, state residents may request access, correction, deletion, portability, and opt out of processing for targeted advertising, sale, or certain profiling. If we deny a request and your state provides an appeal right, you may appeal by replying to our response with “Privacy Appeal.”

13. Children’s Privacy

Our general-audience Services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from a child under 13 without the authorization required by law. If a Service is specifically offered to children or we learn that we have collected personal information from a child in circumstances covered by the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act or another child-privacy law, we will take steps required by applicable law, which may include parental notice and verifiable parental consent.

If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child has provided personal information to Bashabeth Games without required authorization, contact us at bashabethgames@gmail.com. We may take reasonable steps to verify the requester’s authority before providing access to or deleting a child’s information.

Where local law sets a higher age for a person to consent to processing or use certain online services, users below that age must have any authorization required by local law.

14. Third-Party Services & Links

The Services may contain links to, be distributed through, or integrate with third-party websites, storefronts, game portals, social networks, authentication services, payment processors, or other services. Those third parties operate independently and their privacy practices are governed by their own policies. We encourage you to review those policies before providing information to them.

15. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as our games, technologies, business practices, or legal obligations change. We will post the revised Policy on this page and update the effective date. Where required by law, we will provide additional notice or obtain consent before a material change takes effect.
